David BenyamineDavid Benyamine is a French professional poker player (Born July 5th). David became well known after coming first in the 2003 WPT Grand Prix de Paris tournament where he finished in 1st place winning 357,000 Euros (Approx. $430,969 USD).

He learned to play poker at the age of 12, but eventually became a professional tennis player. His career ended as a tennis pro when he had to retire due to back pain.

David learned to play poker from a friend who worked at the Avation Club de France. He started off playing low-limit games and has since worked his way up to play in the largest cash games online at Full Tilt Poker under the username magicpitch1.

Benyamine currently lives in the south of France with his one daughter.

Benyamine’s largest recorded wins:

2003 WPT Grand Prix de Paris – 1st place - 357,000 Euros
2004 WPT L.A. Poker Classic – 6th place - 132,355 Euros

As of 2006, his live tournament winnings exceeded $1,000,000.
