2+2 Goes Nazi
Well, to some people this is nothing new, as 2+2 poker forum is known for the over use of censorship on their poker forum, but now they may have taken this to a whole new level.
One of the active readers of this blog who also runs a site called pokerbloggs.com reported on his site that he received a shocking letter from a moderator at the site. (Thanks gtycoon!)
Apparently book sales are down at Two Plus Two Publishing and the “Grand Poobah” is not happy. Mason Mallmuth, head of the 2+2 forums, feels that this has to do with the forum providing too much useful information. He believes that people are learning too much on the forum, that it is stopping them from buying their books. So, he wants their readers to get dumb once again and posted a note to the moderators of the site that they should remove stickies which provide too much information to players.
Isn’t the point of a forum to share knowledge, not CONTROL IT! Anyway, if you don’t believe me, here is the screenshot of the post:
The reality is, Mason needs to wake up and figure out that people are starting to use video training sites to help them improve their game more than going out and buying a book with a cover that looks like it was made in the 70’s.
So what can readers do? Obviously any attempts to address this on the forum will probably be deleted within 30 seconds, but you can post your feelins here in the comments section, or start looking to join another poker forum that wants YOU to get better.
