Absolute Poker Fined $500,000 by KGC

Potripper ScandalRemember the Absolute Poker Scandal from back in August of last year?  Well Kahnawake never forgot, thats for sure.  They recently released a report on their findings from an investigation they performed (led by Gaming Associates).

The report detailed some of the actions that Kahnawake will be taking against Absolute Poker (AP) to ensure that something like this never happens again.  The key highlights from the report are that Absolute Poker must fire anyone involed, plus they will have the following sanctions placed on them:
- A $500,000 fine
- Random audits by Kahnawahke (paid for by AP) over the next 2 years
- A security deposit just in case something like this happens again.

On a good note, the KGC found no evidence that the activities of the seven users who perpetuated this scam acted in any way to benefit the company. It also found that Absolute Poker took appropriate actions immediately after the cheating was discovered to prevent its system from again becoming compromised and in reimbursing all players affected by the scandal.

So was it worth it POTRIPPER?  I highly doubt it!
