Annette_15 Had Chip Snagged During 2007 WSOPE
In perusing the forums at 2+2 this week, I came across a thread where someone has discovered video footage of another player snatching up a chip Annette knocked off her stack, unbeknownst to her. Now the face of the player who took the fallen chip wasn’t shown during the swipe, so there is no way to really tell if it was intentional or if he simply thought it was his own chip. He was seen prior to the swipe, shuffling his own stack so the possibility that he believed the chip to be his own is plausible. If the guy honestly thought that it was a chip he had dropped in his own random shuffling, then the grab was certainly understandable. However, being a skeptic and having viewed the speed at which he snatched it up, practically before it steeled on the table, I would lean toward there being a bit more underhandedness involved.
