Win A Date With A Nuts Cover Model at PKR!

In all my time playing poker or working as an affiliate I have had a chance to see many cool promotions.  Currently PKR.com is running one for  Valentines Day which easily tops the list as one of the best. PKR is offering it’s players a chance to win a date with Nuts Cover Model, Lindsey Strutt (yes, the one with the huge tits below):

For just $10 you can win the chance to be flown to London, put up in a sweet ass hotel, then sent on a date with the gorgeous 32F-26-32 Lindsey for the night.  The date will start off with a champagne reception, followed by dinner at one of London’s nicest restaurants and if you play your cards right (no pun intended) the night could end elsewhere.

For more pictures of Lindsey including MANY NSFW ones, check out her portfolio on her official website.

To win this date, you will need to come in first in the “Nuts about the Girl” tournament on Sunday, 14 February at 20:15 GMT which can be found in the PKR lobby.

Poker Babes – Cuz i haven’t done one in a while

Kitty Lee recently did an interview with UK poker news, and in that article shares her thoughts on life, love and poker.  This interview isn‘t in depth, and it doesn‘t offer really any great poker insights.  Honestly, it kind of looks like somebody’s pro poker friend mentioned that he once dated Kitty, and taught her to “play poker.”  That being said, Kitty is pretty hot, is an “Actress” and model (really, she’s had spreads in Nuts, Maxium UK, Loaded and others) and has tossed some cards around in the one live cash game she’s played.

To see the whole interview click here…here are a few excerpts from the “interview.”

Em: How did you first get into poker?
Kitty: Well my ex was a pro and although I never wanted to learn when I was with him about a year and a half afterwards my friend introduced me to Texas hold em on the IPod touch. It looked like so much fun I downloaded it and was hooked ever since.

Em: Do you enjoy live poker or online poker the most?
Kitty: Well I have only played one live game so far and that was pretty scary so I would have to say online poker for now

And if you want to check out Kitty’s official site, click here, but be warned, her site is nipple friendly (must be a UK thing..)

Hot Poker Babe!

Maybe I’ve been living under a rock, or just don’t pay attention to extremely hot poker babes (no, that just isn’t true), but i have totally missed Beth Shak.  While her website is overdone (it looks like someone went crazy with flash and, while it’s impressive, it takes away from the person it’s trying to showcase…) her poker skills are NOT overdone!

She started playing professionally almost 5 years ago, and her first cash was in the 2005 WSOP Ladies NLHE event where she took 8th place for $16,000.  She has cashed consistently since then, with her biggest cash coming while playing the 2007 WSOP ladies NLHE Event when she took down 2nd place and $328,683 for her troubles.  But what is really impressive is that she has had 5 children and she looks like THAT!  Awesome.  Keep up the good work!

On unrelated to poker news, Beth is a businesswoman and fashionista who develops her own line of clothing, and is an active philanthropist and promoter of charitable causes.  And, she looks like THAT.

So, Beth Shak, as someone who is married to a poker pro (Dan Shak), and has made a very successful life both on and off the poker table, you Madam are my last poker babe of 2009! (but mainly, cuz you look like THAT)

Yeah…5 kids…

Miss Teen California is to be Judged By a Poker Pro!

If the sweet lifestyle of a poker player with lazy days, and grueling 9 hour sessions of online poker nights aren’t enough to lure you into the world of online poker then Matt Vengrin’s story is for you!

“As a poker player, I know how fierce competition can be,” said Vengrin. “Just like playing in the World Series of Poker, these girls are in for a grueling but fun weekend and I’m excited to be an integral part of the experience.”  Yep, I have no doubt that the 24 year old is ahem..excited..about the upcoming experience.  I mean, the girls we’re talking about are aged 15-19, and i’m sure that the 2 million Vengrin has amassed over the last 2 years may give him an extra shot at having a more in
imate knowledge of Miss Teen USA (after the contest has been judged completely impartially, of course!).

Most recently, Vengrin finished strong in the Main Event of the 2009 Aruba Poker Classic, a $5,500 No Limit Hold’em tournament held at th
Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino. Vengrin collected $13,820 for his 27th place finish.

Being surrounded by beautiful women is anything but foreign to Vengrin. The poker professional sits alongside Lacey Jones, one of the hottest women in poker, on Absolute Poker’s team of pros.

Maybe sign up at Absolute poker, use their buddy software and ask vengmoney (Vengrin’s online account w/ absolute) how the judging went!

New Co-Host for High Stakes Poker!

/images/blog/kara.jpgWith AJ Benza getting unceremoniously canned from High Stakes Poker, GSN has been a bit coy about rumors of a female replacment co-host.  Until today.  It was announed on Pokernew.com that Kara Scott would fill the role for the upcoming season.

Kara will work with Gabe Kaplin, analyzing hands and being the poker “Expert” on the show.  And she is not without the experience.  She has written articles for “Flush” and Poker Player Magazine, while simultaniously hosting “Poker Night Live.”  In 2007 and 2008 Kara hosted the European Poker Tour.

After placing 104th in the 2008 World Series of Poker ($10,000 buy in main event) Kara announce that she would be leaving her job at Sky Poker to concentrate on a career as a poker professional.  While she is the sescond woman to cash in consecutive WSOP main events, the whole concentrating on being a poker professional must not have worked out so well for her.

I’m not sure what prompted AJ Benza’s firing, but High Stakes poker was one of my favorite shows, with some of the best insight and hand analysis out ther.  I hope that going in this direction (after 5 successful seasons) wont damage the show’s watchability!

P-P-P-Poker Face p-P-Poker Face…?

File this under “rumor” with a bit of weird thrown in there.   Apparently, because Lady Gaga is HUGE (and has been for a while), and wrote a song called “poker face” this makes her a celebrity worthy of showing up at a poker tournament.

Well, that’s what some organizers in Ireland are hoping will happen. The Irish Poker Festival, held next month, is hoping that Gaga will show up and try her luck at the tables…before hitting the tour circuit with Kanye West.  It seems like a long shot to me..and really…doesn’t make a lot of sense.  Sure, Poker Face the song was huge..that doesn’t mean that I’m interested in seeing her on the table vs. pros.  There is nothing i hate more than “celebrity poker” (followed closely by Celebrity Jeopardy..but that’s a post for a differnet blog), and Lady Gaga…stick to making music and wearing no pants!

No Pants!
