Set around an international poker tournament. A middle-aged guy goes all-in to save his dead grandfather’s hotel-casino from a real estate developer. His master plan is to win the world’s most famous high stakes tournament, the Grand Championship of Poker (Basically a knock-off of the WSOP).

The movie looks pretty cool and features some big name players like Doyle Brunson, Antonio Esfandiari along with many other big name pros. It stars Werner Herzog, Richard Kind, Woody Harrelson, Ray Liotta and Ray Romano. Who knows, this may just be the best poker movie ever…. only time will tell.

We all knew Brandi Hawbaker was a stripper at the Rhino, but until a few days ago, we didn’t know that she turned tricks.  Thanks to Brandon’s post we are starting to learn even more about the queen of poker gossip, Ms. Hawbaker.  Here is a video that I randomly found of her while searching youtube:

Found this old video of Daniel Negreanu from 1999.  It looks like his barber was pissed off that he was winning so much money back then that he decided to torture him.

In this video, Negreanu gives us a perfect example of “Haircuts Gone Wrong”:

Amanda Leatherman of Pokernews.com recently interviewed Betfair Poker’s main girl Annette Obrestad (Annette_15).  During the interview one of the things that came up was “who was the best type of poker player: online poker vs. live”.  Annette sided with the online players as she herself comes from an online poker background.  I remember hearing one interview with Doyle Brunson where he said that some online players probably logged more hands played in the last year than he had logged in his entire life.  This goes to show that if experience makes you a better player, than online players have a huge advantage!
