TheV0id wins WCOOP Main Event
This year’s 2007 WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) has come to an end over at PokerStars. There were a total of 23 events with prizes valued at more than $24 Million Dollars! The biggest attraction of the tournament was the $2,600 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event which made one lucky player an instant millionaire.
Team Pokerstars player, Vanessa Rousso made it to the final table and ended up finishing in a very impressive third place ($463,941) leaving two players, TheV0id and ka$ino to battle it out for first place.
On the final hand, TheV0id raised preflop only to be reraised by ka$ino. Instead of calling, TheV0id shoved all in and showed a KQ up against ka$ino’s dominating AK. The flop came J 10 3 giving TheV0id a few more outs. The turn was another 3 to pair the board. The river brought some horrible news for ka$ino as it was a 9 and TheV0id hit his straight to win the tournament.
