David Pham Is 2007 Player of the Year
2007 is now complete, and the final results for Cardplayer’s Tournament Player of the Year awards are now in. Joining past winners Daniel Negreanu, Michael Mizrachi, and his own cousin Men Nguyen, is one of the greatest poker players’ of all time: David Pham. Pham had 11 final tables last year cashing in a total of $1,814,000.
In his biggest finish, Pham won over $800k at the WPT Legends tournament (where he finished 2nd). He also had 2 first place finishes in WPT events, along with several other great finishes.
David Pham known at the tables as “The Dragon“, fled Vietnam at the age of 17 for America in a boat carrying 145 people (99 of whom died on the journey). Pham learned much of his poker skills from cousin and past Player of the Year winner, Men Nguyen.
Pham currently resides in Bell Gardens, California with his four children. His current career winnings have now reached $6,570,713!
