“Degenyamine” David Benyamine no longer a Full Tilt Red Pro
With no goodbye ceremony, no tears, and no parade, Full Tilt demoted David Benyamine today to just a “regular player”. One of the premier players that people have railed over the last year at Full Tilt Poker, Benyamine has been in some of the largest pots in FTP history.
Today however, some sharp eyes will notice that his name is no longer in red if you login to the Full Tilt lobby. He’s still playing there; he’s just lost his red status. Players with the red status allegedly get 100% of their rake back, among other perks. He’s even lost the use of the cute little fat-faced avatar that is custom made for the red pros. I’m sure his ultra hottie woman, Erica Schoenberg is just torn to pieces over this…
It will be interesting to see if Full Tilt makes any official announcement regarding this. His player page on the bio section of their site is now gone, as is most mention of him elsewhere on the site. While it could be voluntary as he did claim to have been ready to quit in 2007, he obviously came back for more. He’s still a big winner this year, with $1.7 million in cash game winnings year-to-date according to Market Pulse, so who knows?
We will continue to follow this one and report any updates as they leak out.
