Dynamite321 Wins Pokerstars Sunday Millions
PokerStars weekly winner has a new name! Dynamite321 brought home more than 163 thousand dollars, when he won the Sunday Millions Tournament. In a field of 6000 players, he battled to the top.
The familiar faces of PearlJammer and Mikelars met Dynamite321 at the final table, as the final 3 players. Dynamite321 entered this position as a heavy weight chip leader with modest competition from the tournament regulars. Regardless of the chip lead, PearlJammer, aka Jon Turner, always makes any poker game a poker competition, live or online.
PearlJammer is an online poker professional, with PokerStars as one of his online poker rooms of choice. This competitive online poker player has already brought in significant poker cashes this year alone. Having him in the tournament would prove a challenge to the entire field, but most focused on this top 3 final table.
Mikelars took home third place when he went all in with pocket tens against Dynamite321’s A/J of diamonds. The race was on for the river, with every card, Mikelars hopped not to see a Jack or Ace, but the turn was not so nice. When the Jack was placed up, Mikelars could see he was in for trouble, as Dynamite321 now had the dominate pair. By the time the river arrived, Mikelars was out of the tournament. Even in 3rd place his cash surpasses some people’s annual salary, at over 65 thousand dollars.
PearlJammer, currently the 13th on PokerStars Leaderboard came into the final hand preflop. Dynamite321 checked right after him. The flop gave the 7 and 9 of hearts followed by a 2 diamonds, both checked. The 9 spades showed up on the turn, so Dynamite321 bet 700 thousand. He was raised to 2.2 million. The response caught PearlJammer by surprise, as Dynamite321 went all in (holding pocket 2’s). PearlJAmmer called, turning Q spade and 7 diamond, showing 2 pair. He was overpowered by Dynamite321’s full house. The river was a Qd giving Dynamite 321 the top prize.
