Guy Laliberté - Poker’s Billionaire
I recently discovered some more information about the player that came in 4th place at the WPT Championship, Guy Laliberté. Laliberté has always been a very big name in Las Vegas, but not for his poker skills, he is the CEO and founder of Cirque du Soleil. Originally a street performed, Guy currently owns 95% of the company. According to Forbes Magazine, his net worth is $1.5 Billion US, making him the 654th richest man in the world. He is rumored to play in a lot of the high stakes cash games, and I am sure we will see him again in some future tournaments. I sure hope he donated that $696,220 to charity, as it is pretty clear that he does not need it
