Online Poker Strategy 4: Picking Your Game with your Bankroll

Game and BankrollDo not play a hand of poker in any game as large as or nearly as large as your bankroll. This is likely to sound like easy logical advice, but you’d be surprised how many times I’ve seen players who think better of themselves, and so they enter a high stakes game, and they aren’t prepared for the true competitive nature of a high stakes poker game.

Use quality Bankroll Management strategies and you will avoid a major poker mistake. Regardless of how good you are at the poker table, if you have to pay the bills, don’t spend it on a pot. Simple as that appears to be, it is not always followed. Should you bust out of a poker game, and have nothing left to play with later you will not appreciate the game you entered.

Bottom line, don’t play more than you are comfortably able to.
