Poker Game Turns Deadly
An argument between 2 poker players turned deadly yesterday at the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City. The argument started after a seat that had been occupied by one player was given to another player at a 1/2NL Holdem game in the Taj Mahal’s poker room. The two began arguing and this eventually escalated to the parking lot where 61-year-old Arthur Prince of Toms River, NJ was stabbed in the throat by the other player (Vicente Perez, 57, of Georgia).
Just over an hour later Prince was pronounced dead at Atlantic City’s AtlantiCare Medical Center. Perez now faces three felony charges: aggravated manslaughter; unlawful possession of a weapon; and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
