Poker Pro Makes Bad Deal
According to TMZ.com, Gambling Times, Inc. is suing movie producer / poker pro, Scott Lazar for failing to honor the terms of their “deal”. During the making of “Deal” (which hit theaters in 2008 and starred Burt Reynolds and Shannon Elizabeth), Lazar allegedly agreed to a $50,000 product placement arrangement with Gambling Times, Inc. Lazar was supposed to visibly plug their product in the movie, but according to the lawsuit this never happened.
Gambling Times Inc. is now suing Lazar for no less than $1 Million in damages. For most movie makers this is pocket change, but when your movie only makes $78,000 in theaters you have a real problem.
