Poker’s Elite discussed in 2+2

Gus Hansen’s down turn’s never go unnoticed by the poker community. This is particularly true when you are looking at it from the - who’s still got bankroll - perspective. This topic in the 2+2 forum has been an ongoing chatter for years. Not just Gus either. Any poker player who wants to noticed as a talented player is put under the microscope of success - with a bankroll focus.Antonio Esfondiari recently announced that his bankroll is gone. Says a lot about this player who has been referenced as one of the best poker players in the world. He was forced to sell his home and rent a place instead. Will he return to the professional poker tournament scene? If he does will it just result in similar poor bankroll management?

Of course every poker player’s favorite brat - Phil Hellmuth is always under scrutiny. Some on the forum believe he will never be a match for Ivey, nor will he ever get to keep his endorsement money because he won’t stop challenging Ivey across a poker table, who appears to enjoy having Hellmuth pay his bills.

With all of that in mind, who really is a poker professional? To give you a clue, Gus Hansen made his entire bankroll deficit back in Australia. Where do you stand?

I don’t know how these guys can blow through so much money so quickly. If I made that much I would lower stakes and grind out my days.
