Ship It Holla Ballas?
Today I found myself wondering what ever happened to the Ship it Holla Ballas website? I went to it and noticed it was down. I used to go there to read some of the blog stories as they were always pretty entertaining.
Though the guys acted like complete douchebags sometimes, the site was really cool and definitely inspiring for a lot of younger poker players. The blog posts were always entertaining and it was interesting to read about what kind of wildness they were up to next.
I found a post by Andrew “good2cu” Robl on 2+2 that pretty much summed up why the website was shut down:
“We started shipitholla.com around 3 years ago when I was around 18. Many of the stories on there were incrimating/embrassing and some of us including myself no longer wanted it up. We remain good friends and amazingly enough all of us are still professional poker players. You can find my new blog at AndrewRobl.com sadly I am not quite as balla anymore as I spend most of my time playing poker.”
Andrew has gone on to start his own blog, but it really lacks the entertainment of the old ship it holla blog. Most of the other guys are also still tearing it up online and have become some of the most well known online poker players.
