World Poker Classic, Las Vegas E7 Final
Event 7 has concluded at the Sixth Annual 5 Diamond World Poker Classic held at the Bellagio, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The final winner was 2007 Borgata Poker Open Champ Roy Winston.
Event 7 known as a 2000 USD buy in No Limit Texas HoldEm, began with 362 players. The prize pool extended to more than 700 thousand USD. Roy Winston, who has played in a couple of tournament events this year, finished first after he went heads up against Robert Stain, which brought home more than 230 thousand USD. Not a bad cash for a couple of days of work.
Some other well known names to land in the cash included: John “Miami” Cernuto, took 20th and brought himself 4 thousand USD; Joe Sebok was busted in 16th place with 5,415 USD; Men “The Master” Nguyen took 14th and cashed in to the tune of 6,770 USD; Ninth and Tenth were Jared Hamby and Michael Mizrachi respectably. Each took home well more than 8 thousand USD; Dan Alspach was knocked out in third place, netting him 71 thousand USD for the competitive play.
