stakes poker player, whose winnings are in the millions. He
has had great success and fame as a professional poker
player. Farha was born in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1977, he immigrated to the USA as a teenager after the civil was broke out in Lebanon. Farha settled in Wichita, Kansas, where he attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a degree in business administration. After graduating, Farha moved to Houston, Texas where he worked various jobs and was first introduced to the game of poker. Farha found himself winning big in some of his earliest games. Farha would travel to Las Vegas, to practice and improve his poker skills. In 1990, after playing poker for four years, Farha decided to quit his job and begin his career as a professional poker player. Sammy has had success ever since, his style is aggressive and he is able to study and intimidate his opponents. His biggest winning was at the 2003 World Series of Poker, where he came in 2nd and won $1,300,000. Farha has won two World Series of Poker bracelets, in 1996 and 2006, both for Omaha events.
